Hurts So Good - Astrid S [ Darryl Syms Guitar Solo ]
Wow! Great job! It's nice to know someone else loves this song as much as I do.
It’s underrated!
❤
how to get that tone?! solid
The 3rd note of A major scale is called C# not Db because D is the 4th note, like this: [i-A, ii-B, iii-C, iv-D, v-E, vi-F, vii-G]. The scale have 3 sharps [F#, C#, G#]. And the diatonic chords of a major scale are: i-Major, ii-minor, iii-minor, iv-Major, v-Major, vi-minor, vii-diminished. So the third chord is called C#m, and the 6th, F#m. I am writing it just to clarify it in case someone got confused. I didn't noticed it at first if it wasn't a comment below about that.
You are absolutely correct, my mistake! 🙌👌
@@DarrylSyms No problem. Nice video, quick and easily understood!
00:38 How do you decide/know/figure out how fast/temp those 4 beats are in the measure? Is there notation that tells you. How do you know how fast an eighth note will be (since a metronome can be set at different speeds, I figure ie half-notes can be played at different speeds?) Like a waltz tempo vs metal riff tempo, vs country music tempo per se. Ballad vs upbeat music. if I just had eighth notes in a measure is there only one speed that they could be played at? i JUST saw something on the Metronome that shows a 4/4 time signature. Is that it? Thanks!
@Darryl tell me I can get your lessons I want to guitar, I have a notion, but I want learn from ground up. What can be your advice?
You can join me on getfretwise.com and access all my best and most diverse classes there 😄
nicely done!
Nice work man!
Thank you!
Still extremely helpful to this day
wish there was tabs 😅 great video nonetheless, thank you.
My problem is my extra long middle finger and a shorter index finger. Damn middle finger keeps getting in the mix.
fucking amazing video thanks man
You’re welcome!
saffin'
Acoustic then electric imo. Most guitar players will play both. Better to put a good amount hours into the acoustic, more raw and manual. Yes harder but when you transition to electric, holy smokes it will make you wayyy better right away. Starting on electric then getting an acoustic, it is like starting all over again in terms of your hand and finger strength.
Will it mess up the signature if I take it off or will it smear
Whats the diffrence in sound??
Great representation but it's too boring I want to be able to bend and be all over the neck.,it just needs more expression n not like you're learning scales. 👍🙂
You don't say why to hold the pick that way though...
Wow. Everything is perfect. Sound, style, timing, tone, etc beautiful.
Thank you so much!
Neither. The best is a classic nylon string guitar
Dude that is absolutely class start to finish, should be really proud, and it should have more views!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Damn you killed this my man!
Thank you!!
Electric guitar is the best to learn very true .
Been kinda hooked on the song recently due to the melodicness (not a word) of it and it’s been really helpful to be able to learn it! Already almost got the it all down till it gets higher up the neck
The genre I chose was rock I know I’m a lil stupid with music instruments and stuff like that but again I chose rock as genre what guitar should I use electric or acoustic?
How do you bar the high E string? if I do it my ring and middle finger will get really close to the string and mute them?
1:32
2:12
3:15 5:21 slow
6:50 7:57 slow
8:57 9:12 slow
12:06 12:24 slow
One of the biggest game changers I had was playing the minor version as you said but then also adding the middlefinger to the A string. This fingering potition gives you so much more options in multiple ways for multiple chords, emebellishments, inversions, sounds and whatever more.
Very helpful, Great idea to do multiple plucks of each note in a scale. Up until this point I just always attempted to go for the gold on just one string. Thanks
So every chord have it's own scale and phrases to be use?
Excellent lesson! Has to be one of the shortest, most beneficial lessons I've seen in a long time. I will incorporate this to my daily practice. Thank you!
Really interesting video ! Thank you for sharing !
Is I use that technique I cannot strumm up and down power chords:(
nice I like your guitar
How was the poly finish removed from the fingerboard, and were the frets removed to do this?
Can you give us link for the tone in positive grid. 🙏
where can i buy it?
You can purchase the song which includes full lessons, tabs, and backing track from my website getfretwise.com. Otherwise single itself is not officially published, so there’s nowhere you can buy or stream it besides UA-cam right now. Thanks for your interest! 🫶
It makes sense that he was trying to get his name out there but it NEVER made sense to me that he joined Poison...Literally the ONLY talent that has EVEN been in that band...
After 7 year this video helped
01:15 leggo
Whats your tip for someone like ne who has been playing for 25 years the wrong way? I learned by myself and i had no one to correct my pick grip. I hold the pick with my index finger straight and not curled like im supposed to. So obviously i struggle with alternate picking ( never been able to ) and pinch harmonics. It sucks cause i can play about any songs without their solos since i can't alt pick.
Thanks for making this, mate. Worked great for me as a bassist!
Can i get tab? Please
“Duck face” just like Steve Morse? lol
I am watching this after seven years well i tried learning guitar 8 year ago but gave up. But i have picked up some cords n now im thinking of getting into learning guitar again but this time I’m thinking of practising on electric guitar’s
I have just 3 of your videos. Never have I used "scales" or Theory. I was a 15 year old who learned to play guitar by listening to records, cassettes, and watching people play. I wrote, performed live rock/metal and even got lucky enough record with some good people for close to 30 years and never has someone explained to me what all those things that, what I consider, a true Musician knows like you just showed me. Plus, how it applies. Thank you. I have never been a musician because of that lack of understanding. I'm a guitar player. I would like to be a musician.
